Whether in university teaching, at professional symposia, or in practical workshop work, our goal always remains the same: to translate scientific findings and state-of-the-art measurement techniques into everyday practice in an understandable way, in order to prevent injuries, design therapies in a targeted way, and help people move sustainably and without pain.
Knowledge grows when it is shared
NUMO founder, CEO, and running analysis specialist Laurent Hofmann is happy to appear as a lecturer or specialist at conferences and continuing education events. In the coming months, for example, he will be seen and heard on three renowned stages:
August 28 and 29, 2026: 19th GOTS Switzerland Summer Congress: The congress of the Society for Orthopedic-Traumatological Sports Medicine (GOTS) is dedicated this year to cycling and mountain biking. In his specialist talk, “How Do I Set Up My Bike Correctly – Avoiding Overload,” Laurent Hofmann shows how the right biomechanics on the bike can help prevent discomfort and optimize performance.
September 3, 2026: University of Basel (CAS Sports Physiotherapy) : As a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Laurent Hofmann shows aspiring specialists how modern load progression, return to sport, and injury prevention fit together seamlessly. Right on NUMO’s premises in Dietikon, he teaches the fundamentals of clinical gait and running analysis in a full-day module: from the phases of the stride and the axes/angles of the lower extremities to the evaluation of plantar pressure distributions and acting forces, all the way to the practical execution and interpretation of video and pressure measurements.
October 28, 2026: 22nd SSMT Symposium: Under the motto “Prehab/Rehab,” he explains how the combination of running diagnostics, targeted training, and custom insoles can sustainably accelerate rehabilitation of the lower extremities.
November 25 and 26, 2026: SAGOM Osteopathy Congress in Interlaken: At the Swiss Medical Society for Osteopathic Medicine, he combines theory and practice. In addition to the specialist lecture “Running Analysis & Osteopathy,” he leads a hands-on workshop on gait and running analysis.
