Running and gait analysis
Do you experience pain when walking or running? Would you like to improve your running technique in a targeted way? With our in-depth running and gait analysis, we identify incorrect weight-bearing patterns, optimise movement patterns and lay the foundations for improved performance and well-being.
Data basis for success
If pain becomes a constant companion during physical activity, it is worth taking a closer look at your musculoskeletal system. However, a precise analysis also helps with the early detection of misalignments and the targeted optimisation of your running technique. Our in-depth gait and running analysis is the first step towards a better sense of your body. Using modern analytical methods, we identify the causes of discomfort, incorrect loading and inefficient movement patterns. This enables us to recommend targeted measures and contribute to greater comfort, improved performance and freedom from discomfort in the long term. Where necessary, we also use the data to produce custom orthopaedic insoles . Whether to enhance your sporting performance or to make everyday life easier – we support you in moving more efficiently, with less discomfort and greater enjoyment.
The running and gait analysis in detail
We always begin NUMO’s analysis procedures with a static assessment. During this, we assess the feet as well as the knee, hip and leg axes. This is followed by a video analysis on the treadmill to examine the dynamic roll-off behaviour of the foot – whilst walking and jogging, but also with regard to the mechanical transfer of force through the knees, hips and pelvis. In addition, we measure the pressure distribution across the entire foot.
We review the evaluations together in a personal consultation and decide on the further course of action. The data then serves as a basis for the production of everyday or sports insoles.
Thanks to the gait analysis, the custom-made insoles and the right shoes, I’m now completely pain-free when I exercise. It’s as if nothing had ever happened.
Running analysis on the sprint track
Whilst many running analyses are carried out exclusively on a treadmill, our indoor sprint track offers the opportunity to analyse movement patterns under conditions that closely resemble real-world scenarios. This provides us with even more precise insights into running technique, load patterns and biomechanical relationships.
If necessary, our indoor sprint track by Conica is used. It has an authentic tartan track structure and can also be used with spike or studded shoes. The only difference: the integrated biomechanical measurement systems. In addition to high-speed and infrared cameras, pressure sensors, and a force measurement plate, the track is equipped with a speed laser and a stride length detector. This allows us not only to analyze running technique but also to identify asymmetries in the gait pattern or material weaknesses.
Your roadmap to improved performance and freedom from pain
With the exception of the BASIC option, every analysis includes a detailed evaluation report. You can share this directly with your doctors, physiotherapists, trainers or other specialists to ensure you receive the best possible, interdisciplinary care.
